STRESZCZENIE ARTYKUŁU
Purpose:
Adopting P. Bourdieu concept, within the frameworks of “literature field” and “power field” inter-connection/inter-action to analyze sociologically literature process and its key actors (writers as a socio-professional group) activities in Ukraine at the end of 19th century – beginning of 20th century.

Material and methods:
Methods: comparative method has been used while reviewing literature and arranging the table showing relations between occupation and literary work; method of socio-historical reconstruction has been used in the part about writers and their life/literature and society; biographical method has been used for analysis of writers’ life and their occupation.

Results:
The Ukrainian writers in the 19th century began to gain shape of socio-professional group, and its key representatives started to receive honorariums. The Ukrainian writers were in line with mainstream of the world literary process, including more active publications of literary works written by women. The 1920s was a period of the Ukrainian literature unprecedented development, showing revolutionary features it became a period of Ukrainian culture Renaissance. Many famous cultural activists emigrated, but the new generation began to appear with communism views or non-political. Actually revolutions in the beginning of the 20th century destroyed social hierarchical structure of the Russian Empire. An increasing demand for mass literary products was seen, because of an increased number of people who could read. Main professional activities of authors had a significant impact on the choice of ideas/stories and topics/subjects among writers. According to preliminary results of socio-literary studies (1920-1930s period), connections between real life of a writer and his social environment, as well as literature works had deep impact on all process’ participants.

Conclusions:
Writer's creative work, as well as his biographical milestones are the sources of sociological research, of the mutual influence of society (real life) and literature (art work and the corresponding psychological/cultural) in the context of the development of contemporary technologies ("BigData", etc.), – as well as reality that it is constructed/given and/or extrapolated to it.
